How to send Pinterest Pins, Boards and Profiles to whoever you want
Do you know that you can send Pinterest Pins, Boards and Profiles to friends or other Pinners across apps?
You can send Pinterest Pins, Boards and Profiles using WhatsApp, text message, Facebook Messenger or which ever method you like to communicate with.
This content was prompted when I discovered the tip reading a Pinterest blog.
I’ve searched the Pinterest Help Centre and came across a couple of similar pieces of information on other blogs on the net. It’s so simple.
From what I could find out by searching the web and help.pinterest.com, you can’t automatically send your own Profile to friends or other Pinners.
The only way to do this is to copy the URL in the browser box and paste this into whichever format you’re using to share the link.
To send other Pinner Profiles
Sign-in to your Pinterest account and click on the Profile of the Pinner you want to share.
If it's someone you follow or follows you, click your profile image at the top right-hand corner. Click 'Your Profile' from the expanded menu and click on either 'Followers' or 'Following'.
The Profile may be of someone you've just come across. If so, you can access the Pinner's Profile by clicking on their image until you come to their Profile page. Then take the next steps below.
- Click the paper airplane or three-dot button, depending on which devise you’re using, at the top of any profile and pick Send this profile
- Enter your friend's name or email address or
- Click their name to send if it comes up automatically
- Add a message if you like
- Press send
Pin or Board
Click on the Pin or Board you want to send. Click the paper airplane or three-dot button, depending on which device you’re using. This is at the top of any Pin or board, then follow the instructions above.
You can also share the link on Facebook, Twitter or any other social media platform you use. Alternatively send it by Messenger.
If you’ve created a Group Board, you may want to send it to other users who will then be able to see what’s on the Board. Just follow the same instructions above.
Please note you can’t send Secret Boards.
Tweet individual Boards with a brief description
As recommended by Jimmie Lanley, a great way to get your Board shared and followed is by posting tweets promoting your best Boards. A few posts per month spread out will attract quite a lot of interest. You’ll also be presenting yourself as an expert in that niche. She suggests bragging by saying how many followers it already has.
You can do this on other social platforms too, it’s a great way to share and get more followers of your Boards.
I intend to do this when I’ve got all my blogs and images optimised for sharing.
